Travel type pictures are used a lot as they are by
travel agencies on their web sites.. Part of the reason for putting the
copyright notice in is to let the Internet users know the images are
copyrighted. Most people think everything on the Internet is free to be used how
they want. Smugmug lets the picture poster add the right click option. If a
viewer right click on a picture they get a notice " Photos are the
property of the Photographer". Sure a knowledge savvy viewer can go around this
but it takes a bit more effort and knowledge.
