The big plus to digital is the repeatability of the data without degradation through distribution, but making sure the data remains uncorrupted is a heck of a task, as while there are error corrections taking place all the time, one error too many and the data is gone.. the inherent problem is data storage reliability.. and magnetic drives, the most reliable method to date, has only a reasonable track record across a very short span of time. As useless as this old technique sounds, carbon on paper has survived hundreds of years those reading this can draw their own conclusions :) I personally have a few thousand pages of text condensed onto a few sheets of paper created with the earlier program.. kinda neat to think no one can read all that stuff but me :) k
