well, problem solved....it was an alignment issue. Actually the head tilt & pan (is that the right term?) alignment deatyre of the enlarger. At first I gelt my blood get cold but soon we found out that the Meopta enlarger offers a single side adjustment. So we returned them to zero and presto!
BTW once we dissasembled it we found out taht soeone had put a regular light bulb in there!!!
