The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated NOV 08, 2008. Authors with work now on display at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include:

              Karl Shah-Jenner -

very nice choice of focal point, great how you sustained the detail in her body against that brilliant yellow whatever-it-is (surely not grass), but how does she know that she's going to actually contact the ball when the bat is behind her head?!

              Rob Miracle - Evil Eve

Wow, Rob. Is that ever ugly! Let me turn the page, quick! But not evil. Her expression is too lacking in affect. Maybe raising the apple and tilting her head downward a bit, so she's looking up at the viewer? Or a slighly malicious smirk?

Trevor Cunningham - pickin' a knit

Nit. Knit is what I should be doing with my new winter hat. The crop is great, but the lack of light on mom's muzzle is kind of a shame. Could you just bring it up a bit in the converter? Or dodge it a little. Looks like there's lots of detail there.

              Dan Mitchell - Scarlet Woman

Fabulous rendition of the second worst part of western society. A little softness in the chair seats would have focussed the viewer's attention on the cosmetic set and maybe added to the impact.

Now go get something along that line about the fast food business!

              Christopher Strevens - Worry

The spirit is really nice, Chris. I sort of wish the whole image were sharper, not crunchy sharp but just not so soft. And not quite such hot hair. But the spirit of the image is really very nice.

Rene M Hales - Locked In

Softening the edges of the jail. Interesting implication.

Michael Hughes - Halloween Hag in Norwich

Might have been better to throw the cars out of focus entirely. I suppose the sticks of wood are for stoves? or heaters? They remind me of my trip to Germany back in the early '90s where I saw "forests" of spindly trees all planted in rows with not a speck of wildness around them.

New show up Sat. Don't forget to send in a photo for it, now!
