Fred Hecker, The Open Door
This photo works for me.  I like melodrama and mystery and this photo has both.  The shadows are intriguing as is the view through the door.  I have to wonder what is inside.

Jim Snarski, Glacier National Park.
Beautiful place that is not quite revealed here.  I want to see more mountains and less water.  I would also like a lot more drama in the sky.  Nice clouds, not utilized enough.

Lara Ashby, My Garden Where I Live
Good start.  Once again, in my view, it needs some adjustments in contrast and lighting.  Very plebeian.  But then again, that is the essence of gardens, maybe.  Have you played with this in PS?

Marilyn Dalrymple, Shadows
Very nice design/abstract type photo.  I have always liked this type of shot and I like this one.  You used to see these a lot when Look and Life were still being published.

Dan Michell, Eye-level
Photo that interests me but doesn't quite excite me.  Too busy maybe.  I don't quite know how to make it work for me.

Bob McCulloch, Boots
Nice idea but not executed well enough to make me like it a lot.  Intrusive elements and soft focus sort of lessen impact for me.

Emily L. Ferguson, Niagara Falls - postcard shot
Great subject that leaves me wanting to see more.  I suspect Emily has a number of shots that she likes better.  Just doesn't quite make it for me.  Partially obscured boat and hard to see through mist under rainbow bother me.  I like the composition though and the inclusion of the distant bridge.

Lea Murphy, Elaina, wedding day
Quite competent wedding day portrait with an attractive bride.  I photographed one wedding in my life and swore I would never do another.  I guess I am not qualified to say much more about this.

Thanks to all who contributed.  We are getting a good variety of images and skill levels.
