beautiful. Such wonderful texture.

           Rob Miracle - White Tiger

I'm afraid the only thing that looks like it might be alive in this one is the tiger. The grass has that astroturf look about it - not really quite the right tone of green - and the plants in the background could just as easily be plastic as real. The image might be more successful for me if there were less grass, and if the tiger's face were not turned away so far (as though anyone can choose!).

           Marilyn Dalrymple - Joan

There seems to be no connection between the model and the background - a problem I often find myself feeling with standardized backdrops. I wonder why the model wanted that pose. Is it related in some way to the book title?

Somehow I feel there's too much sharpness for the person. I'd like the image to be less crunchy in line with the age of the model. Crunchy sharpness is for the young.

           Tina Manley - Rain Dance

Great joy in the little girl's body, but the green seems unreal and there's no rain!

           Mark Lent - Bay Bridge

Great city, classic shot.

Valery Firsov - Love of Weevil

Valery puns again. Did you use some texture filter on this? The texture of the bugs and leaf is very interesting but I'm not certain it's real.

           Trevor Cunningham - bullfight

Interesting options here - so few people watching, so much space around the bulls, no detail in the bulls' heads. The distance gives off a diffidence, like the people are watching to make sure the ritual is completed but without any particular stake in the conclusion.

           Jerry McCown - Antelope Canyon

Hard to do and get something new. This one's OK for a first try, but with places like that one must study the repertoire to see what one's up against I believe.

           Laurenz Bobke - Puruvesi Sunset

Wherever this happens it's always pleasant to look at.

           Andrew Davidhazy -

Strange extrusion on her belly, looks like another breast. Is that an artifact of the emulsion separation process?

The tonalities of the process are pleasant, but I think I'd prefer the orientation to be the original. The hair contradicts the running legs and makes it even harder to figure out what's going on.

Thanks to all for submitting. Hope to see more of your next week.

And thanks to Andy for his eternal care.
