After downloading your images reformat your card in the camera. Don't just erase the images but format the card. Every time.

And never use your computer to delete images...if you do, reformat the card before shooting again.

That should help.

happened thrice with 2 different cards 9both Sd high speed ones), two times while shooting and once after installing the card afer reading it in a PC...The card is unreadable, but works again when formatted. The cameras will ead other cards though on the spot. Seems something in the camera "kills" the card.
 
So what can be happening?
 
I did a shallow google search and hot nothing other than an occurance in an Optio and a Ninon...
 
BTW the camera is already in the shop for monitoring (if and when it happens again)...
