For whatever it is worth, several years ago (in my former guise as a firefighter/paramedic) found that my Nikon Coolpix 990 would operate for quite a while inside of houses that we were using for training burns. At floor level it would have been at least 135-150 degrees and the camera would operate at those temps for about 5-10 minutes before it would shut itself off. There didn't seem to be any lasting damage to the camera and the photographs downloaded just fine from the CF card without much obvious digital noise in the resulting images.
