Thank you for your comments. Actually the “rock formations” are not huge they are glacial erratic boulders assembled and erected here by ancient man about 5000 years ago. It is a ring of standing stones. There are several around here one at Avebury just up the road but a village is very close to it and only a few people visit. I’m always surprised how small it is. We went there again today on the solstice but it was closed to all. There were 30,000 people there at dawn to watch the sunrise (it was raining and overcast) but the police moved them on.

Stonehenge on the day of the UFO watch:  This is an unusual shot of Stonehenge - usually the emphasis is on the huge rock formations - this shot celebrates the cloud formations.  I like the use black and white; I can feel the chills going up and down my back that those of you at the site must have been feeling.  A very nice shot.

 

Thank you to Andy and staff for hanging the show.  I enjoyed it very much.
