Re: camera scam

Good morning.   I am not trying to start a N vs C thing, nor will I take part in one  ..  I have been using Canon since 1994 and people are surprised when my answer to their question about what camera to buy is, "whatever suits you best".

My final comment on this subject is that were I starting over I would definitely consider Nikon, in fact I did when leaving my OM-1 on the shelf, but since I have a few $$$$ tied up in EF L lenses Canon is best "for me"

New subject:  There was a big camera shop in downtown Portland, CWO (?), and another smaller but seemingly more pro oriented, I seem to remember yellow and red colors on their stuff,  away from downtown when I was there back around 2000 or 2001.....  Are they still around?

Take care,

Bob

I guess you never looked at the Cnon 40D........

In your D300 praise you left out two important words,  "for me". Those two words prevent any further discussion or arguments.

you're right...I never looked at the Cnon 40D...and as far as praising the D300, those were not my words but rather the words of respected members of the photographic society and they were given appropriate credit for their opinion......please don't start another Nikon vs. Canon war...what I quoted was meant to be a light-hearted response to Andy's comment about problematic buying decisions...sorry you didn't see it that way
