The V750 actually sounds superior in almost every respect to the long-in-the-tooth Nikon scanners. The scanning head on my old LS2000 wore out after only a couple of thousand scans. Still pissed about that(spent $2000 for that machine).

I had wondered about buying a Nikon Film scanner - but I doubt whether - for my needs - it would be significantly better?  I'm only after prints up to A4 and rarely A3+ which the Epson 4990 will give.
