Heya Emily, comic books hey? ;)

Not sure if this is common knowledge here but jpg, gif and png images zipped, aced, tared or rar'd into an archive can be viewed nicely using CDisplay on a windows machine* without having to unzip the archives.

(* or see this thread for mac users:

often the rar'd file extension is changed from *.rar to *.cbr (comic book reader), but an archive of zip, ace, tar or rar can be opened by this freeware program without having to change the file extension if you don't want to.

Options allow full page viewing against whatever background colour you choose, 2 page spreads, magnifier (moving the cursor over the image achieves thie effect) and keyboard/mouse clicks to advance or back up through the archive.

it's a small (less than 2Mb) fast program and for geeks like me who like carting their programs around with them in a portable fashion, the whole directory can be copied to a flash drive and run from there wherever one chooses.

it also makes a very nice simple presentation tool in this way as well - plug in the flash drive, open the program, navigate to the archive and away you go. simple clean and fast
