What medical doctors have found is that blind people use larger areas of
their brains to process sound. The brain has plasticity that previously was
thought to be very limited. So you might be able to use more of your brain if
you listen to music with your eyes closed. Of course I don't know if this will
take away areas of your brain devoted currently to sight.
