Most people I know, including my son, who manages IT for a
manufacturing company with dozens if not a hundred new Dells, get a
disc of some kind from Dell to take Vista off and replace it with
XP. But, I use a Mac and he's almost no help to me. :(

The problem might be described as premature ------------. but for
modesty's sake and to prevent speculation I'll say premature
messages.
I am using wireless broadband, Windows Vista and a brand new Dell
laptop. I am annoyed by the fact that sometimes my email messages
are sent - before I have finished typing them. Sometimes I do know
that it is my error but on occasion I have seen my messages take
themselves off into the ether when all my fingers were lifted clear
of the keyboard.
If anyone can suggest a reason, or better still a cure that does
not include amputations I'd be pleased to hear from them.
