Well, that item doesn´t look too promising either....   It seems to have no storage capacity by itself, so it needs an external hard disk enclosure.  Also, it cannot power such an enclosure, so you have to get one with an external power supply (bulky, plus you´ll need a mains outlet).

To use it with extra flash drives or cards seems pointless; then you´ll be far better off to buy cards for your camera with the same total capacity and save yourself the fuss and the money.  Memory cards are cheap nowadays compared with just a year or two ago.

So, unless your storage needs are extreme (several weeks on the road or in the wilderness), just buy the amount of cards that you´ll need.  It will still be cheaper, more compact, and more rugged than film was....
