Hi Linda,
I make a note of something each person is wearing
in each frame photographed. For instance: Frame 11 (or image
1101 for digital), Mary Jones has red hair, John Smith's tie is paisley
print, Alice Thompson is wearing a pink jacket, etc.
If you are photographing in black and white, make a
note of something unique about each person being photographed.
For instance: Mary is wearing a beaded
necklace, Alice has a brooch on her right hand lapel, John has on wire-rimmed
glasses, Frank's badge is on his left lapel, etc.
For a newspaper getting the person and his or her
name correct is important and I'm sure those you photograph will
understand. Plus, it is important for those photographed
that their names are correct - it's a form of advertising for them and
I'm sure there will be agents there who will seek you out amd ,make
sure you have their name right{:-> Getting their pictures in
the paper is a big plus for them.
Just remember you are doing an important part of
your job and doing everyone (the paper and the subjects) a service by getting
the information correct.
Nothing to be nervous about (said by someone who
completely understands where you are coming from).
You are going to do just fine.
Marilyn
