Hi Roy! Thank you for this enlightenment. I would have, in all likelihood, responded much more favorably had this 2x2 array been submitted to the Gallery as one piece. Unfortunately, I cannot definitively say why. Maybe the overall color balance across the four images is more complete; it is possible that my mind leans toward variations and recognizes strength in repeated images when they are structurally sound, but limited to being monochromatic, duotone, or tritone. Maybe the magenta-green combination simply didn't work for me, like my '70s-era TV which had the "tint" knob broken off after being skewed to the ridiculous end of the spectrum (after going psychedelic, "Adam-12" was never the same again).
