Dear ANdy,

It depends on the viewing distance. For very large prints, 150dpi is more than adequate. Which is why so many people can make the claim that their xxxx DSLR can make 24x30" (or even larger) prints -- from the proper distance they do indeed look great. Large Format purists might scoff at the above as a contact print has effectively infinite resolution.
