If you have not seen the above website before, it offers the
beginner/neophyte basic instruction toward an understanding of photographic
exposure, and a visual simulation of how changes to exposure can affect an
image. It's not my website, but check it out; you may wish to add it to your
favorites. BTW, it is in English and
German.
