You don't need apps like that to put a glass of booze in someone's
hands. You can do that with moderate skill and ample thoughtfulness
in Photoshop just fine.
I realize that PS has been able to do that for some time. That was just
a quick thought about possibilities. The app isn't the issue; the
ability to create apparently real items is. I haven't a devious enough
mind to imagine all the things one could do if one were motivated. It
is bad enough that someone can cut and paste and erase etc. Now you can
create an alternate reality slanted for any purpose. If the veracity of
photos has been in doubt for a long time - and it has - now that
veracity seems to be in even more jeopardy. Maybe I am over-reacting
but I was astonished at the apparent degree of reality that was created.
