Let´s try to make a few comments, for once (I´ve been horribly lazy/
busy lately...):
The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated APR 14
2007. Authors
with work now on display at: http://www.rit.edu/~andpph/
gallery.html include:
Pini Vollach - Diagonals
A good "found" image with interesting composition and lines. Am
slightly disturbed by the 2 unsharp wires at the top, but they can´t
be cropped without losing too much of the diagonals. I´d crop the
extreme right, however, so that vertical steel profile holding the
stairs was kept, but nothing to the right of it. Also possibly some
burning-in of the lower left corner.
Don Roberts - Hammock Vendor
Another "found" one with excellent composition. Again, I´d burn in
corners: everything below the nearest, mauve hammock plus the inside
of the canvas roof. Possibly some more saturation as well, but
perhaps you´ve already taken that jpeg to its limits...
Howard Leigh - Spring Sun
The kind of shot most of us cannot resist when we get the chance, and
a good result. The beginnings of a good cider...
Morley Roberts - Wing Walker - Carol Pilon
Good once one opens it; the thumbnail + title made me expect some
kind of insect on an unsharp twig....;-)
The clouds and the smoke trail are great. Think you should have shot
1/5 of a second later, with same framing, so the plane was just clear
of the clouds, but that´s easy to say afterwards...
Jim Snarski - Raptor
Excellent bird portrait; I´m particularly impressed with the detail
that the beak with the glint at its tip is so well placed against a
good background. That beak means BUSINESS, no mistake about that!
That stone frog is a fun touch.
Again, I´d do some burning-in (this seems to be my recurring theme
today): lower left quarter (with due care of the tail); also the near
rim of the bird bath.
Emily L. Ferguson - Invitation Front
Anybody sending me such an invitation card would have me panting at
their doorstep in no time - unless there was that little Atlantic
between us.... This is SUMMER!
Marilyn Dalrymple - Just a Snapshot
Technical issues aside (and I won´t even go into them this time),
this is my absolute favourite this week. It is so plainly and
unabashedly FUNNY that it must make anybody smile. Absolutely lovely!
