Re: Large/medium format lenses on 35mm

I've been given some interesting things to consider.  My assumption was
that large format lenses would give sharper images since that's the
value of larger formats.  I hadn't thought that the size of negative was
giving all (most?) of the benefit.  Now that I've heard it, it makes
good sense.

How are "resolving figures" represented?  Is there some standard unit of
measure for sharpness?  I've heard of circle of confusion, but was
confused by it.  Perhaps I need to take the time to understand it.
