Lea, (on the postcard project)
Thanks for taking this project on. Of course,
I want to be in...! It's a good idea to set a short deadline for
participating. If there is anything I can do to help, let me
know.
Don, (on your concern over the
Gallery)
Your concern is very real that the
postcard project should not distract from the weekly gallery. This
said, it is nice that the project brings people out of the woodworks.
There has been a number of events contributing to
the slowness of the gallery and I agree that it is a bit sad that PF'ers do
not talk about the images as much as in the past. I've just started
putting in my 2-bits of critique.
I would think that the ups and downs of the
gallery could be a topic to address as a group. Also, there seems to
me (and I may be wrong on this) quite a lot of people on the fringe that do
enjoy the forum but are afraid to post their work. Is this real?
If so, how can we bring you guys out there to the
fore?
Regards,
Guy
Is there a need to

Subject: postcards again?
I'd be more than willing to start this up again if anyone wants
to play.
I am quite a lot busier now than I was when we did it the first time but
I'd be willing to organize the addresses on a web page then those who are
interested could go there, copy the addresses and be responsible to get
postcards out.
There would be a deadline by which everyone would need to respond in
order to be a participant.
Everyone would need to submit to me there addresses.
We would determine e a 'ship date' and that would be the date the cards
were put in the mail...none before that date.
in order to be elegible to participate in any future postcardings (this
could be an awesome continuing project), you would have to be certain to
participate in any you agree to do (translation...if you say you're going to
do a mailing you have to do it or you can't participate in the next
one).
Any takers?
Let's kick it around. PLEASE don't make it too complicated or I'm not
going to be able to organize it...too busy right now.
Lea
