A friend just got his 3800 and found to his dismay that after doing a lot of research that it won't run on his MAC - he has to get the latest dual whatever Mac. He's now going to buy a 24 in. iMac - poor guy! It doesn't have Vista drivers yet either. I didn't notice anything about this when I was researching it. The 3800 does a terrific job and the ink savings (over a 2400) will cover the extra cost in no time.
I almost got the Epson but another friend who is an HP pro talked me into the HP9180 at less than half the price. It has large carts and replaceable heads. He uses an HP3200 and a 9180 in his business - to die for prints and ease of use.

Although I have chosen it at random readers might like to look at http://www.outbackphoto.com/printinginsights/pi045/essay.htmlfor a detailed description and review of the 3800Michael
Outbackphoto is very reliable; so is Luminous Landscape, who has also reviews of most new top printers. For the 3800, here is another extremely valuable resource:(I plan to get a 3800 once my ink supply for the 2100 is used up...).
