Applicants must have a background in teaching digital media courses as well as inter disciplinary art and design concepts in a college foundations curriculum. Qualified candidates must show expertise in a range of digital media, including web design, animation, digital photography and hardware configuration; prefer three years of college-level teaching experience. Additional responsibilities include advising students and participation in departmental and college assignments and committees. May also be assigned responsibility, as needed, for supervising the maintenance and development of three imaging classrooms/labs and digital media center (the Center for Visual Technology). The department is an accredited institutional member of the National Assn of Schools of Art and Design and serves 800 art/design majors, offering Associate degrees and Certificates of Proficiency. The Center for Visual Technology is one of the flagship digital imaging centers in the state and serves over 1,000 students yearly through credit course and workshops.
