Clogging?   How many paper backdrops does one vinyl replace? A spoiled vinyl backdroop could be used for other things.  Most stuff besides food wastes that go in a landfill, including paper, stays unchanged once it is burried. Check out the book "Rubbish."

Environmentally speaking, it sounds like a nightmare.  Vinyl is made  
from crude oil and chlorine (according to The Vinyl Institute).  
Fabric coated with vinyl will not be recyclable and will end up  
clogging a landfill once you're done with it.
