True, but there's as much error with white, grey or black when the object
is an opaque surface, as grey paint is 'made' and has wild variations in
colour.. as has black.

Tests I've done with selections of white grey and black swatches under a
densiometer have always given a wide variation in colours.

Best bet is to find *one* that produces acceptable colours for the user and
keep it safe :)
