Oh yes.  Check out the sports section of your local paper and think 
about the shots.  What would make them better?  What would be 
involved in making better shots?  After a year of looking, are you 
getting bored yet?  Is the local photographer working or doing the 
same thing over and over?  Can you make a little list of the cliche 
shots that the shooter falls back on when s/he's not inspired that 
day?
