I used to think that was all I needed in PS. Then I really learned how to use it. I don't use the dodge and burn tools or desaturate anymore because once I learned Photoshop, there were much better ways to do those tasks. with far more control and better looking results. I learned to use layers, blending modes, channels, selections, paths, channel mixer, etc. etc. and there really is a difference. It's like the difference between taking your film to the drugstore counter and living with what you get back and using darkroom to its fullest extent.
