Re: laptop? Notebook computers?

Marilyn,

I've been using a 14" mac ibook as my laptop (in conjunction with my imac G5 desktop) for the past year and I can not say enough good about it.

Macs are built for people who work with images. It is the only way to go. Trust me on this. I used to use and teach pc computers and you couldn't pay me to go back to a pc. Their interface is awkward, cumbersome and challenging to use by comparison.

Do yourself a great kindness and consider going to mac.

Hello,

I am ready to buy a lap top or notebook (what's the difference?) computer to use for general work and to display PowerPoint presentations on photography and nonphotography related projects.

I'd like to start with items some of you have had experience with.  If some of you would be willing to name some pros and cons of this type of computer you are familiar with it would be helpful to me.

Thank you.

Marilyn
