Yup. There's the rub. If I do all my image processing in RAW I can't save my files except by passing through PS. Since I use PS only for fixing horizontals and cropping, and very rarely for adjusting curves - doing everything else in RAW - it would be really great to have a way to save the files as tiffs or jpegs without having to use PS at all.

Since I have actions set up to create a variety of resizings, including preparing print files, resaving tiffs as jpegs for burning to CD (rather than DVD), saving RAWs as tiffs, bringing my copyright symbol in and adjusting its transparency and then flattening and resaving, etc., etc. what a luxury it would be to be able to bring my actions palette into Bridge and do it all from there without the PS hog.

Once Lightroom is fully functional, and especially if it liberates itself from PS and gets a top notch keywording module I may go there. Until then I'm stuck having to have PS _and_ a file browser on the computer.

I still don't see any reason why I have to clog up my computer with all those artsy filters.
