In CS2 there's a bulk file processor in bridge that does it all without making any actions or using batch processing commands. In any case you can specify a new folder in batch processing in PS7 too and you can choose to overwrite the "save as" comond
You must just remember to do it.
The image processor in bridge allows resizing to fit specifications and it can save anything as anything else in a specified folder with a whole naming dialogue box including sequence numbering etc
