It would seem that you have a 4x5
plate-holder.
If you go to your neighbourhood glass cutter, ask
him to cut plates for you.
Get some LiquidLight and coat your glass
plates.
Plan a nice composition.
Expose with your favourite 4x5 camera at ISO
6.
Process and keep as a beautiful glass negative
transparency!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the
summer.
While cleaning some 4 X 5 film holders
(enough of digital for now - I'm going to make some cyanotype and gum
prints), I found one film holder that is different from all the rest
and I'm not sure what it is for.
It is a 4 X 5 Folmer Graflex Corp item.
One edge states, "Graphic Plate, Pat. June 7, 1927."
Under the film's dark slide, on each side,
there are frame-like inserts with a long, narrow spring on the
back. One side has a piece of glass in it, the other side
doesn't.
Does anyone know what I have?
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank
you.
