Status of weekly exhibit update

Members of PhotoForum,

Some of your suggestions for updating and getting "with it" by way of modernizing the gallery and maybe even the list itself have been received with thanks. Unfortunatley all the suggestions call for me to become more informed and to dedicate more time to list operations, etc. ... and I am not currently in a position to do this for a variety of reasons. One of them is that I am simply entrenched in my ways and don't want to fool with what is working, in my personal estimation, adequately. But I am being forced to somehow deal with new realities imposed on my by changes in the mail system at RIT.

So, I would like to suggest that those of you who would like to continue to participate in this ongoing project do so but instead of sending your images and descriptions to the RITphoto@xxxxxxx address (which has been mostly paralyzed by these changes) that you send them instead to my personal address which is: andpph@xxxxxxx

Unfortunately you will not receive the automatic acknowledgement of receipt as has been the case in the past ... unless I figure out how to do that through my mail program (Netscape).

Please note also that in the next few weeks, starting next weekend, I will be away from easy access to my email and the Internet for at least a couple of weeks and so will be temporarily unable to do the weekly exhibit update as has been the case on a pretty regular basis for the last ten years.

Also, if there are any problems on the list I may not be able to help temporarily. This is usually the case when someone asks to be signed off because they lost the appropriate instructions. May I ask the veterans on the list to please offer kind assitance and send instructions to such people offline ... directly to their email addresses.

Thank you for your help, understanding and patience,

Andy Davidhazy
