This week's gallery

Given the intimidatingly large amount of response to this week's gallery, I thought I'd give my $0.02.  Hopefully it will be received amid the chaos:

Spring has sprung!
"If Sunday you're free, why don't you come with me and we'll poison the pidgeons in the park" - Tom Lehrer
Great range and definition.  Not your stereotypical flower in full bloom shot...captures the slow dance of growth.

Laurenz Bobke
Banana Leaf
I'm of the impression this is the underside of the leaf.  Love the minimalist idea, need more clarity.  Seems a little fuzzy at top left and lower right...what were you shooting at?  Reminds me of that parrot fish I had at this Indonesian grill in Pulau Pangkor... dee-lisciousness!

Emily L. Ferguson
Jay
I really hate blue jays.  They are nasty, aggressive, loud birds.  Loving the composition and color.  My only wish would be a profile of its head with this arrangement.  Is this a compliment to Cap'n Jimmy's earlier jay?

David Small
High boots
I really like the idea you're going for here.  Looks like it was just too bright to open your lens wide.  If the edges of the girl were a little smoother, it would really have a good electric feel to it, that surrealness that NYC can have.

Waiting for Customers
Aside from gimmicry, at present, and the potential future of teleconferencing, I see absolutely no point to cameras in mobile phones.  This has a bit of pinhole feel to it.  That's about it.  I wonder what the extent the phone companies are willing to go to with respect to developing the in-phone cameras.

Herschel Mair
Avvy
Needs a little left fill in my opinion.  The baby looks absolutely frozen with horror.  What did you do to the poor child?!  The rosy hue in the skin, the pink shirt, and the white base and background are wonderfully subtle, but that toy comes crashing like a car through a showroom window.  Whatever the child's afraid of will certainly be more frightened by the toy!
