You are right, Pini. The G5 is a great camera - the best in its class in my humble opinion. I very much agree also with the problem of PF, but I've learned to avoid it to a degree and manage to fix the rest. All in all I am very satisfied with it, and, after all, it's the operator, not only the equipment, which makes a good photograph. :) Renate On 4/3/06, Pini Vollach <pinimage@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hi Renate > G5 do not deserve to be called lowly ! > It took me time to realize that although it look like other lowly cameras > this G5 has capabilities > the other don't have. > I would like it to have more than the 5MP that it has but 5 is also not > little. > The only drawback it has is the purple fringe while shooting against the > light. > What other camera with its dimension create RAW files ? > I like it. > Oh, I forgot, The swivel screen enable me to be creative in such a way I > can't achieve with any SLR or DSLR. > > > Pini > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: R V > To: List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students > Sent: Sunday, April 02, 2006 11:05 PM > Subject: Re: renate - how did you do that???? > > Well, thanks, what a nice compliment! > I had a beautiful sky somewhere on my harddrive and a nice flower... > good shot, but who needs another "purdy" flower ?
