SB800 repairs?

First, I hope all members have a great holiday and fruitful new year. May a 
new D2x appear under the tree by magic.

I may have a repair issue with one of my SB800s. When I turn it on, the LCD 
panel lights up it's familiar blue but no text info apppears. Is it time to 
call Nikon?
