I have had good results even hand holding and carefully turning and
then using the pano capabilities of either Photoshop's Photomerge or
Photoshop Element's pano program. It depends somewhat on your
subject matter. Urban elements seem to require more care than
nature for panos. I will look into the GUI for Panotools that Jim
mentioned though. I always liked the completeness of that even
though I never knew either what all of the number boxes did. I do
have one of the early manuals for Panotools. I'd bet much of that
applies if I just read it.
