Marilyn,

Thanks for the message about Angel. She is, indeed, a cutie. The cool thing about this dog is that she came from the Safe Harbor Prison Dog Program which operates out of Lansing State Prison in Lansing, Kansas about an hour north of Kansas CIty. The woman who now owns Angel is a good friend who happens to be a news reporter; she did a story on the program and ended up falling in love with Angel who was but a tiny puppy when Bev first met her. Once Angel had been trained by the inmates and was ready to go to her new home, I was allowed to be with Bev on pick-up day and photograph the whole event...inside the prison. It was quite an experience.

Just last night the story ran on our local news and was very well- received. Anyone interested in learning more about it can visit www.safeharborprisondogs.com
to find out more.

Due to various problems with mail at RIT these words from Marilyn may not have made it on the list so at the risk of possibly you all receiving this twice it
was decided to send them forward. Cheers, ADavidhazy - for PhotoForum

Double-mega-
multi-millionaire: I'm a little lost where the title is concerned, but I like the photograph. The red and blue colors are striking and the photo is nicely designed. My eye goes from the red wall, to the overhanging "arm,"
to the trees and image on the tan wall, then back to the red wall.
Interesting.

Angel: Very nice exposure - great tones from white to black, and I can see the texture of the dog's fur. Cute expression on the dog's face. I even like the lines of the floor planks. A very nice photograph and I'm sure
Angel's owner wanted a copy.

Autumn Color 2: I like the soft, quiet feel of this photograph, but my eyes don't rest anywhere. It seems to need a point of interest - but again - I think this photograph is wonderful for your Haiku site, Museki. It would
lend itself to being expressed in poetry nicely.

Garden Spider: An interesting web. I've never seen the zig-zag design of one before. Just to add interest, you may try printing this photograph diagonally, so the web goes from the upper left hand corner to the lower right, hand corner, for instance. (I'd try this just for the heck of it.)

Hells Kitchen N.Y.C. This photograph has a lot of mood and you did capture
that "gritty" feel. I spent a long time looking at the young girl,
wondering what she was thinking and why she was by herself sitting in the dark. I think this makes a successful photograph - when it gets the viewers
involved and contemplating the photo's subject, it's a good image.

reflection: The most fascinating part of the photograph to me is the design in the water's upper half (the green shadows and reflections.) I find the lower 1/3 or 1/2 of the photograph a little distracting. If this were my photograph I'd work with the portion from the tree, trunk, across the top of the debris in the lower half of the photograph to the right hand and upper edges. This portion has a beautiful "Monet-like", soft painterly quality
to it.

Thank you to all who shared there work ands to Andy and staff for hanging
the gallery. I enjoyed the show very much.
