It's not possible. The only way to protect the contents of a CD is
with the chain of contracts for usage which the owners create as they
pass the CD from one user to another.
Anybody can save a file from a CD onto their hard drive and use it
from there instead of from the CD.
And if they can't figure out how to do that, they can simply do a
screen capture. Or print the file on their printer and scan it with
a flatbed for future amusement, or save it as a PDF which is one
option for all modern Macs.
That's the core problem with our modern electronic culture.
