Hi Lea.
Use the Adobe 1998 colour space. The monitor profile is just to get correct colour on your monitor. The Adobe colour space defines the gamut (range or area) of colours you are working with. Your output devices (Monitor and printer) need thier own profiles to correctly interpret these colours.
