Although generally thought of as an auction site, growing legions of users are using it as a place to sell and the last thing they often think of is the auction mentality that grew the Bay.
What needs to happen is eBay must get worse than they are now and we need a site that grows more active with each passing day. The public often needs to learn of these sites and that takes ad dollars. Have you seen the "What Is It" commercials? They are for eBay.
I do think we A "better" site than eBay; one that out eBay's, eBay. We need people to start using these alternatives or regardless of how great they are, eBay will win. I truly believe that we will have other sites like eBay.
I purchase quite a few things using auctions but it has been some time since I used eBay.
