Absolutely right on!

You should read the entire technical article, it's an ingenious contraption.  The device works on the principle of retroreflection from the surface of a CCD or CMOS element.  And only in same situations that would cause "red eye" with a human or animal subject.  A film camera with a pinhole, a between the lens shutter or an SLR would be immune.  I'm sure it was someone's masters thesis project at Georgia Tech.

C'mon Rich...  You'll still have the reflection of the lens triggering that 
anti-foto device.

The only truly reliable anti-anti-photo device is the pinhole camera!
