Is that via PhotoShop? Does it carry out profile >conversions? While it would be nice if all contributions arrived prepared exactly as suggested the fact is that even the size of images varies widely and it probably would be a good learning exersize if the matter of adjusting images is simply discussed on the list on a periodic basis. It seems that the more rules (even if only suggestions) there are the fewer members will participate if they are not fully versed on the intricacies of image preparation. So far the isssue is not huge it seems. If for some reason it should become so then possibly a more rigid approach would be advisable. At one time the staff adjusted each incoming image but this caused some controversy as the adjustments made were not deemed appropriate so now only patently oversized images (file sizewise mostly) are reduced in size and the of course the thumbnails are prepared in this manner also. These are all saved for web according to Bob's advice several (many?) years ago. Finally adding an extra time burden on the staff to reformat images, etc. is problematic unless this could be done automatically, as a batch, by way of Photoshop 5.5 or 6. Time is a major limiter of what is possible. - now where is that coffee this morning!? Andy
