I overlooked the fact that you wanted lighting equipment suggestions. This
past year I sold my Novatron system and moved up to the Calumet Travelites.
I have two 720 watt heads and love them. The kit comes with stands,
umbrellas, cords and a carrying case. I added softboxes which I use in the
studio but when I travel to location with the lights I typically just use
umbrellas. These lights are sold with and without the Litelink system which
is a slaving system allowing you to trigger the lights without having cords
attached. Very slick.
You can find these at www.calumetphoto.com then do a search for travelite
kit

I use Hensel lights. Good German-made lights, dual-voltage.
Kit is available at B&H for $1,110 or so.

Subject: studio lighting
Hi Everyone,
I need some help on the best lighting at the best price.
I'm still using film, doing in studio portraits. I have one light, but
it gives off more yellow than I like. Also have on camera flash, but
it's a little harsh.
Also: Would a faster film be more helpful? I generally use 200 or 400.
Thanks in advance.
