If you want to save data you have to keep upgrading it to newer or more
current media. I use extra hard drives as they are getting larger and
larger.

I second that on the cd's...depending upon the climate you live in, cd's will last longer or shorter, but definitely not forever...i have Sony cd's i burned less than three years ago that have been kept in jewel cases or sleeves (no scratches or loss of data film) that no longer are readable by any cd reading equipment i own (old or new)...new cars these days can go 100,000 miles before needing a tune up... |
