Call this an un-scientific survey but, after reading this list for a few weeks now and seeing all of these posts about clogging printers, RIP software issues, format questions, questions/problems with digital cameras, lenses, flashes, other software issues (iPhoto, iCatalogue'em, iWonderwhy) , etc., wouldn't it be easier and less costly if everyone went back to film?
No, you don't have to respond to this. The real question I ask myself is why we're so quick to embrace the latest technology without much examination.
It would be nice if an appropriate subject line was chosen for emails. I opened the message up to read some early constructive comments on this week's gallery. I was disappointed.
The whole point of "all of these posts about [miscellaneous problems]" is that together we all learn a bit more about how to control this new-ish technology / equipment.
In my experience, I can study up on a bit of sophisticated equipment, but the real pros and cons only become apparent after some use. My impression of this list, is of a wealth of experience, and generous people ready to share that experience. And that's how we can cope with shortfalls, and benefit from the advantages, of our equipment.
