You guys have studiously avoided the question.... Maybe it's because you don't know the answer?????

Here is the answer:
 
The 1.4 lens is better.
 
It's faster
It has an almost identical level of sharpness (MTF) at f1.8 (f2) and, in the end, you can set a 1.4 lens to 1.8 but you can never set a 1.8 lens to 1.4
Plus it just looks so much cuter on the camera!!!
