I can't see why it would be important to judgments except when the contest is sponsored by a film manufacturer. Kodak probably doesn't want to see entries shot on Fuji film. Film brand and ISO/ASA are pretty irrelevant also unless you know development details. I always thought aperture is also pretty irrelevant unless you know the film format and focal length of the lens. Shutter speed is the only one I find useful but then again only where shutter speed is really important to the image such as freezing fast moving objects or blurring objects. I see no reason why its important and I suspect many people don't record the data anyway unless they are using a digital camera that records the information for them. Greg -----Original Message----- From: Museki Abe Please let me know why we are required information(exposure, diaphragmshatter speed, film name), when we submit photos to photo contests. I often see information about photo on calendars, photography magazines and photo albums and so on. I understand they are helpful to me as a beginner, when I take pictures. Why and what for? And would it be important to judgments? Mitty
