Another solution for black & white slides is T-max 100 and a T-max reversal kit. I made 500 B & W slides for a theater project with great result. The caveat is that you have to photograph original prints on the T-max and then process the film in the reversal kit and the process is a bit of a pain because of all the steps involved.
